The challenge
This project required a complete website redesign and development of an online presence to drive more traffic to Fuel Curve West in Upland, Calif. The client also requested a modern, mobile responsive and user-friendly eCommerce website. We developed a marquee slider with the company’s taglines to rotate with product visuals. We also added call to actions on the marquee slider images to request a quote or view auto parts. MJM Designz then developed an E-commerce section with a “Request a Quote” functionality to view product details, pricing, images, barcodes and description. The client wanted to add a section on testimonials to display customer reviews along with a newsletter subscription form to send emails with product updates.
The web design solution
Working closely with the client, we developed a custom WordPress template with a parallax layout with hover effects to interact with the users when hovering over images. All the category links were displayed in a sort list on the side rail on the newly-designed web page. We then developed a JavaScript tab structure to sort through different products, created a web banner to display the tagline message for users to click on, developed a custom sticky header for mobile responsiveness and created a custom checkout form before requesting an quote. We focused on the product detail page with scripting related to products, recently viewed products and developed a vertical scrolling section with product images and product attributes.
