The challenge
Redesign a WordPress Development template with a goal of organizing online tutoring courses to help the users engage with educational services provided by a business in Glendale, Calif. We repurposed the content from their previous Square Space site in an order to tell a story for the users to learn about what Sunbright Education provides. Created a full width layout solution to display all tutoring courses without overwhelming the user with too much information at one time. MJM Designz developed a custom contact form for users to send the client emails. We also integrated an Ecommerce website functionality to make different duration purchases since the price value is high.
The web design solution
We created a mockup of two web design layouts for the client to approve before engineering the final design. We migrated existing and new content into the final web design. We then built a full width parallax layout to increase the visibility of the content and integrated Google custom fonts to create a unique website. We integrated Woocommerce and added custom sorting functionalities to keep the user engaged when navigating through the page as they learn about the client’s services. Ecommerce is a huge factor in the functionality for users to purchase online courses provided by the client. We also created a clean sticky header functionality for the site to be fully mobile responsive — a critical step, as many website visitors access the site through their mobile devices. We then developed a custom dropdown menu to help the users view the client’s full catalog of tutoring courses. MJM Designz specializes in SEO optimization, so we integrated SEO best practices by focusing on improving the page load speed and adding keywords to increase online traffic.
