The challenge
MJM Designz developed a specific category from a post that will add value to a certain amount of post on a page that is embedded from a WordPress shortcode. We engineered the plugin script and placed it in the function file of the theme — leading to easy manipulation if needed by the project manager. We focused on creating a layout design that was consistent with the client’s brand and enhancing the user experience to better navigate through the post.
The Web Design solution
MJM Designz engineered a custom WordPress web design plugin to delegate the post from target categories on the multi-sites by a shortcode embedded on pages. We followed the codex rules to create a proper pagination that doesn’t conflict when current updates are required by WordPress. We coded an easy functional script for any developer to change values of population of stories in the function file. We then collapsed stories when responding to the page so that the stories become easier to read on smartphones and mobile devices.
